Analogies participates in R&D projects that are carried out within the Programme “Hellenic Technology Clusters in Microelectronics - Phase-2 Aid Measure” that is managed by the Corallia - Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative. Within this context, Analogies participates in the following R&D projects:

Next Generation Millimeter Wave Backhaul Radio (NexGenMiliWave) R&D Project

The NexGenMiliWave collaborative project develops and is to demonstrate the operation of an experimental millimeter radio modem (millimeter wave) at 60 GHz, demonstrating the feasibility of significant cost reduction of current millimeter radio modems. The cost savings are to be achieved thanks to the realization of highly integrated functions of the radio modem technology within two major functional blocks, with the first chip containing all analog and high frequency millimeter functions (RFIC & MMIC), and the second containing all the functions of the digital baseband modem (baseband modem functions). The simultaneous design of the two subsystems is expected to help reduce the cost also by employing sophisticated balancing algorithms and error correction, which are to be implemented in a digital processor.

The Project “Next Generation Millimeter Wave Backhaul Radio” is co-financed by Hellenic Funds and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Hellenic National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2007-2013. The Project is carried out in the framework of the O.P. “Competitiveness-Entrepreneurship” within the Programme “Hellenic Technology Clusters in Microelectronics - Phase-2 Aid Measure”. The Programme, managed by the Intermediate Body “Corallia - Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative”, aims to achieve a long-term competitive advantage, to materialize a viable ecosystem of excellence and develop a sustainable innovation cluster in the area of Semiconductors, Nano/Microelectronics and Embedded Systems.

Development of PHY Silicon ΙPs (ANAPHY) R&D Project

The "Development of Physical Layer Silicon IPs" R&D project aims in the design and implementation of a silicon intellectual property core that will support the physical layer operation of the USB 3.0 (Superspeed) protocol. This is to be silicon proven and is to be provided to customers who wish to integrate it in their electronic systems. In addition, the project aims in the development of an advanced error correction Turbo / Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) decoder, for new generation telecommunication systems. This is to be developed and promoted as silicon proven Soft IP FEC core.

Business Development Support Actions (ANALOGIES) Project

Analogies is working towards providing silicon intellectual property cores that are used in communications systems, data storage and computing interfaces. Within this project, Analogies drives continuous improvement of its processes, effective organization of its functions and the overall modernization of the company to improve its competitiveness and better operate in the highly globalized silicon intellectual property market environment.
